Chris and Gladys moved to Great Brak River to retire in 2002.   After a few months of retirement Chris pursued locum work at Great Brak River Pharmacy. When the opportunity arose to acquire Great Brak River Pharmacy, Chris decided to postpone his retirement plans. Chris and Gladys opened their doors on 3 March 2003. In 2023 we Celebrated our 20 Year Milestone, and we are thankful for the community’s support during all the years. We’re blessed to be part of this this family.

Chris’s youngest son, Theo, studied pharmacy at NWU and recently completed his Postgraduate PCDT (Primary Care Drug Therapy) course. Being raised in the pharmacy environment, things came naturally and together Chris, Gladys and Theo build a successful company with the combined knowledge of 128 years. The pharmacy grew from two employees to a family of twenty-three members.  Great Brak River pharmacy mission is to help and assist patients, and to make a difference in our community.
